Quik level on partical board

I have covered partical board floor needing raised with ply. There is now an 18' strip to be feathered to the adjacant floor height. Will the partical board accept the Quik level without swelling from moisture? Im covering with vinyl. Would cheaper fixall work as well

I wouldn't. Particle board will suck the moisture right out of the SLC.

to level partical board subfloor

If "quiklevel" products not advised on partical board as leveler then -- what to do? I covered most of area with ply then planned to float 18" width to feather to adjacant floor height. Can partical board be sealed and then use quikset on top of it?
Thanks for your thoughts

Why not pull the particle board up and install ply?

Think of particle board as a big sponge, it will spell and deterioate with moisture.

What are you installing over this anyways?

No sealer on particle board.

PB is just good for a flat surface for vinyl tile or similar floor.
