staple coming up in vinyl flooring

There is a small bubble in the middle of the vinyl flooring. If I press on it with my finger it feels like a staple is coming up. How can I push the staple back down without cutting the flooring. If I just hit it with a hammer I am afraid the staple will pop through the flooring. Thanks for any advice

Sorry, but I can't think of any way of pushing the staple down without cutting the floor. Maybe you can lift the floor up. However, if it was installed properly, it's probably glued all over.
