So I'm putting self-stick vinyl tile into my bathroom. The box of tile says not to use VTC. The tile book I'm reading says not to use VTC. But the guy at Home Depot told me to use VTC because the self-stick tile adhesive isn't good enough.
Do I use VTC or not? Please help

If you are set on using an adhesive, use VCT to begin with rather than the self stick stuff. Not a good track record as far as some of the installations I have seen and/or repaired. In addition, if the box and the tile book said not to use the adhesive, you can bet the "deer in the headlights" guy at HD was guessing.

Thin clear spread adhesive (VCT adhesive) will work fine with peel and stick. Just make sure you put in on thin. Use the back side of a trowel. the side without notches. And let it dry completely. It is pressure sensitive. It wil be almost clear when dry.
