Vinyl underlayment
I'm told NOT to use 1/4 inch Pine plywood for underlayment because yellow spots bleed thru from the glue. I'm told I should use 1/4 Birch plywood instead. But what about the special 1/4 inch Engineered underlayment, such as IntegraPLY? That is $4 cheaper than Birch. Are there any problems with the Engineered underlayment?

I would see no problem in using the Integraply, but you are right the oils in the pine will tend to bleed through unless it is primed, and why do all that when there are products out there you can use instead, right??
