Getting Good Fit For Sheet Vinyl Flooring
I need to put sheet vinyl on a small L shaped room floor. The room walls are not exactly squared off.
I am looking for hints on how to cut the vinyl accurately so I don't run into the problem of having one side of the L fit and the other side is off by a small angle.

Vinyl is rough cut 2" longer on all sides and cut to fit once it's being installed.

Make a template out of brown paper and masking tape. When you mark the vinyl add 1/2" all around, then trim excess after it's in place.

Thanks. I will give that (trimming in place) a try.
But won't the extreme edges develop a tiny upward curl that is hard to glue down as I am trying to push the vinyl into place against the wall for final marking and cutting?

Warning!!! Luan should not be used under vinyl!!
1/4 sanded underlayment rated plywood only.
It causes glue to release and color bleed through.
I know of no linoleum manufacturer that will warranty a floor if you use it.
I use a seam roller on the outside edges before the cut. It forms a nice 90 deg. angle.
