Removing 13 year old Viynl floor adhesive

I am removing old Viynl flooring from my master bedroom, I have removed the actual Viynl tiles from the floor using a heat gun to separate the tiles from the adhesive but now I don't know how to get the adhesive itself off of the concrete. Has anyone dealt with this before and if so how did you remove it?

What type flooring are you going to replace it with? You are in Florida, so I am assuming it is on a slab, correct?

To remove the adhesive, you can use a razor scraper. They come in varying widths and lengths. I like the shorter ones, it's a tough road either way.

I plan on putting ceramic tile overtop of it and yes it is on a slab. The problem is that the previous home owners had about 5 Pomeranians living in that room which were "newspaper" trained. So basically the floor was disgusting and it has soaked into the adhesive underneath. That is the main reason I want to remove it.

With the idea of ceramic going over this, solvents are out. You're left with hot water, a scraper and elbow grease.
