Prepping concrete floor for vinyl sheet

the room is a small kitchen about 2mx2m. i removed the laminate floor to find vinyl tiles underneath, i have start to remove them but it leaves behind some yellowish adhesive on the concrete floor.

i would like to put down a vinyl sheet which would only require gluing down at the edges. just wondering do i really need to remove the left over adhesive?

thanks

chris

If you can feel the glue when you rub your hand across it, then there is a good chance that the patterns will telegraph through to the surface and be seen as defects. Carefully read the installation instructions for your particular vinyl and it will call out what needs to be done. Many times it will say that if you are going over vinyl with an embossed pattern, you need to smooth it out.
