Vinyl plank durability
how durable are vinyl planks? I have a large dog and wonder about toenail damage. What are the pros and cons all around?

Flooring going down in a 350 sq ft mancave. Laminate is a poor choice due to dog drool, dogs water bowl and possible doggie accidents. Ceramic would be best but not the direction I want to go, for various reasons. Just curious about durability with dogs. And any recommendations on brands for better quality.

I'd put vinyl down before laminate. Ceramic would be my first choice.

The vinyl planks are good for basements or wet locations, but they will scratch easier than laminate flooring and it does not appear to wear as good in the long run either (based on experiance in a commercial application)
