Transistion from ceramic tile to click vinyl flooring
i am doing a reno in the laundry rm, ceramic on the walls and floor ,
i have vinyl flooring in the hall and the rest of basement,
what is the best/proper merge from ceramic to vinyl click flooring?
is the vinyl click flooring good for a laundry room?
would you put an underlay below vinyl flooring?
thanks bob

Welcome to the forums! A little confused. Is the ceramic in the laundry room? If so why mention the vinyl? Is your transition from the ceramic in the laundry to the vinyl in the hallway? How thick is the vinyl? How much of a transition do you have height wise? Is the vinyl already installed? Is the ceramic already installed?

It sounds like the plan is to install new ceramic tile in the laundry, transitioning to existing vinyl in the hallway.
OP also asking if vinyl in laundry room is an option over tile.
For me, I've seen vinyl flooring that looks like tile and some of it looks really good. I wouldn't put it in my own home, but the look and feel is fine.

the floor is unfinished at the moment, but i will be installing vinyl on the connecting hall to the laundry room,
i am unsure about putting vinyl in the laundry room due to water that is why i was asking about the transition from tile to ceramic ( if i went to ceramic in the laundry rm)
i would rather install 1 type of floor everywhere and avoid a transition piece at the door of the laundry rm.
hope this makes my question a little clearer,
thanks bob
