Vinyl plank flooring

Hi All, I am in the planning stages of installing vinyl plank flooring in a hallway which has closet opening, another door opening,I know I can undercut the the door casings, I will remove some baseboard , as I donít like the look of additional molding, my questions would be how to slip the flooring under the casing and still be able to pick it up and click it in the end , can it be heated with a heat gun to make it more pliable, maybe I am over thinking this.

When you can't lift it you have to snap it together with a hammer and matching block.

If it's the really tight kind you might need to shave or remove part of the locking ridge. I will always leave a bit of it intact so that hopefully it still locks together tight with no play. The idea that if you remove say 16" out of 24".... that it's easier to snap together a couple 4" pieces than one long one.

What is the best type of glue to use in the joint to replace a bad plank?

Plan for a joint between rows to land in the center of the doorway. If you can slide the plank under the casing and molding you then use a pry bar (flat) to force the interlocks to connect horizontally. For the area in the doorway, you create a locking block that will allow you to tap the pieces together without damaging the flooring. A good wack will get it to set.
