marble floor streaking

marble floor streaking

The installer of a marble floor used a sealer that caused streaking . What can I use to remove this sealer? He has tried a number of water based products but the floor is still streaked.

call the sealer manufacturer to see what they have to break it down.

Ceramic tile and bowed/uneven walls

Hello, I'm in the process of remodeling my kitchen and am now ready to finish the wall above the countertop and below the cabinets. During Phase I of the project (installing wall & base cabinets and a new countertop) I learned that my walls were bowed in (not a big surprise, but there are 2 spots that are pretty bad) and while I made the necessary adjustments (I love shims!) with the countertop and cabinets I am not sure how to handle the problem when putting up ceramic tile. The tile I have in mind comes in the large squares and it is because of this that I'm thinking I will have some problems. Is it better to use the small 4"x4" squares, or perhaps even the small 1" squares that are matted together to form large squares (seems like they would add flexibility but the selection I have seen isn't that great)? Or, should I try to even out the wall before starting the tileing? Any suggestions are welcome! Thanks! RoseRead More
