how much space between tiles?

We're tiling our livingroom which is about 75 sq.ft. Not that big. We have 12 x 12 inch tiles. How much space between each tile would be suit this size of room? I was told 3/8, but that seems too big? Any suggestions?

Grout spacing is mostly a matter of preference, I prefer a thinner grout line but sometimes a wider grout line works nicely with an accent color for the grout. I just tiled my kitchen and I used 18" tile with a 1/4 spacer and I think it worked out perfect.

Size of grout line

I think the 1/4" grout line looks very good.

¼" grout lines or smaller look the best.

75 sq.ft.?

Geezzz, that is small. 10 x 7'6" is 75 sq.ft.
I wouldn't want to be caught in that room when someone passes gas! LOL!
