First Tile Job

Hello,

After spending days, watching videos and reading do-it-yourself tile books, I thought I knew what to do to tile a bathroom floor. Well, after all that careful planning, I somehow managed to space the tile 3/8 instead of 3/16. I figure I have two options; replace the work already done or use a grout the same shade as the tile, which is very light. If I leave the wide spacing, will I run into any future problems because of it?

Thank you,

Martin

I would say the only "problem" would be a visual one. The wider grout lines would probably not look out of place if you are using 12" tiles, for instance, but if you are using 4" may not look quite right.

Hi
You must have liked what you were looking at as you laid the tile, so it must look just fine. No problem with that size grout joint..it's a bit wide, but no big deal. Choose any color you like for grout..the size of the joint makes no difference...you'll just use more grout.

Thumbs up Thanks for the feed back

I just needed to know that the wide grout would not cause a problem later. It did look good and that is why I probably didn't re-measure the width. Thanks for your responses. This is my first time on the forum too and I really like this.
