Question Tile

My husband and i bought a house that had been recently renovated. The previous owners put large white porous tile in the kitchen and did not seal the grout. Although it looks great, it is impratical as far as keeping clean. Stains never completely go away and are hard to remove. The only relief we have found is 'ZAP'. Removing the tile is not an option. I have spoken to a few "doityourselfers" that have suggested to 'acid wash' the tile and then reseal it. Before sealing the tile, i was wondering if there might be a way to "stain" the tile a terra cotta color. Is this a pratical solution to 1) help with dirt and stains showing, and 2) keeping the floor cleaner in general.

Thanks for your help,

No way to stain the tile itself with the glaze on it nothing will bond properly to it. You could stain the grout only.
