Installing porcelain tile

I have taken on a job that may have been too big for me...however. I am having a bathroom gutted and remodeled. I am doing the tile work myself - the floor, the tub alcove walls, the ledge the tub sits on. I bought porcelain tile - 18" on the floor, 12" on the walls. The tile store - not a discount place - a "real" tile store sold me mastic to hang the wall tile, thin set mortar for the floor tiles. The floor looks pretty good - not absolutely perfect - but pretty good - it set up well in 24 hours. The wall tiles hung with the mastic are still not set - after being hung 4 and 5 days ago. Today I learned from another tile store that mastic should not have been used for porcelain on the walls. I am just sick over the cost and time I have into this - and it's my brand new bathroom. Is this stuff ever gonna dry/set? Or do I have to pry it all off the walls and start over?

You need a very good mastic for 12x12 tiles.

Custom Building Products, "Omni" Grip

In the yellow pail.
