Wonderboard Under Ceramic Tile

Hi,

I've heard that a product called "wonderboard" can be used between a subfloor and ceramic tile. What is it? What is the minimum thickness for a kitchen floor? Will it make up for some minor imperfections in the subfloor, such as nail holes from the previous floors? Finally, what should I use to fill less minor imperfections, such as 1/8" dings from the pry bar used to take up the prior flooring (was 3/8" plywood under a layer of vinyl tile under 1/4" plywood under another layer of vinyl tile)?

Many thanks,
Mike D.

When installing cement backer board of any kind. It is set in thinset mortar, the same as the floor tiles. Use the same xx trowel. The thinset will fill any small imperfections.
