Sealing marble tile

I am about to install a marble entryway and have a question about curling and sealing. I am using a white premixed thinset (tile perfect) for marble, but have never set marble. Plenty of ceramic. My question is sealing the marble. What is the proper method for preparing the marble prior to mortaring. Does the tile bottoms need to be cleaned and sealed prior to setting? Also I am considering butting the tiles with no grout space. Is this acceptable? Pros/cons...

Hi
You should use at least 1/16 spacing for the marble...it's very very difficult to butt them together. If the marble is not black or green, then you can set it with thin set. IF it's black or green, you should use epoxy mortar. These colors have a tendency to curl or warp if you use a thin set that is water based.
