radiant heat

I would like to install elec radiant heat under my kitchen florr tile. My question is what is the cost of such heat. I do have forced air, I just want to supplement with this. Does it cost alot per month to run? Is there a difference in cost per month between 110 versus 220?
Thanks

Depends on who you are and where you buy your system. The late model "electric" heat systems I'm aware of cost anywhere from $5 to $10 per square foot then they have to be covered by one of a couple different methods.

Again the systems I know of have the ability to bring the floor temp up tp about 84 degrees F and unaided would produce an ambient room temperature of around sixty-six degrees. This doesn't consider any losses that may occur via leakage and/or drafts.

A 220 system would be most efficient but more costly to install, the 110 system we install would cost about $1 per day if allowed to run full-bore at all times which no-one would do.
