Glass block wall & Tile

Hello Guys:

I want to build a Glass block wall at the foot of the new Jaccuzi bath tub. The Bath tub has the "Tile lip" to allow for the ceramic tile to go over it. That is no problem at the other two walls where I have green boards, hardibacker then ceramic tiles.

How can I cover and seal the contact area where the tub tile lip meets with the Glass blocks? I need some help.

Thanks
Moe

You're talking about the "lip" that turns "upward" and is formed into the tub on three sides?

That is correct. I think They call it the tile flange in the bath tub manufacturers market.

I was afraid you were going to say that!!!

I can't see exactly what it is you are doing but my imagination tells me to cut-away that flange. I think this could be done neatly using a router with a straight bit and a 'bearing-end'. Cut from the outside of the tub so that the bearing rides on the perpendicular edge of the tub.

This is just a guess mind you.

Then some 'file-work' would be necessary at the ends. Use duct tape to protect the tubs surfaces both while routing and filing.
