ceramic tile floor
I have just tiled my entrance way to my house using 13x13 tlie. Area about 6x7. My problem is I am not sure how I should install the new oak saddle I purchased. Do I butt the saddle to the tile and grout, or do I build up and over lapp the tile with the saddle?

It should overlap and sit on top. If you grout to anything fixed, such as baseboards or transitions, the grout will crack. You will soo have a crack in the grout all along the fixed object. That is the reason for base molding and transitional moldings.
