Question Tile Countertop

Hello,
Can anybody tell me which product is best for a tile countertop surface, Porclean or Ceramic? Or is there no diference? Is there anything specific I should be looking for when picking out tile??
This is for a kitchen remodel project, and looking at using 12"x12" tile with matching counter trim and corner pieces.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Porcelain is harder and generaly has the same color all the way through.

If possible, select porcelain over ceramic for a countertop, especially in a kitchen.
