Sealing tile Woes
A friend just had Limestone Travestine 16 x16 tiles ( style name Durango) laid througout their house.
Two sealers were applied to the floor to of course seal and give a satin finish
Both sealers were applied with a roller and brush.
1st coat applied was SGT S34 HMK
2nd coat applied was SGT S37 HMK
The results of the finish is now very blotchy with patches of gloss.
It is really nasty looking
1. Can the shinniness be removed and the matte finish be reastored?
2. Is there a solvent that will strip the sealer from the floor to start over?
3. Can it be sanded if no solvent will work?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Anthony
