Cleaning tile grout

When we moved into our house, the white grout in the kitchen was black with years of caked on dirt. We have tried everything to get it clean. Any recommendations?

you could try a mix of sulfamic acid and water.1 capful of acid to 1 gallon of water but i doubt if that will work cause the dirt has soaked into the grout ,you may have to dig the grout out and try to regrout

Smile cleaning grout

I am getting ready to buy a house with the same problem. I went to Lowe's today and talked to the people in flooring. The lady there recommended this cleaner called Bathroom Floor Grout CLeaner. The manufacturer is Finazzle. It is environmentally safe and contains no muriatic acid.
I bought it and took it over to the new house and tried it out on a small area. You squirt it on, let it sit 3-5 min. then scrub. It came clean for me. It may be worth a try. Good Luck!
