How do I Seal my Cermic tile/gout?

I just purhcased a new home and had cermic tile installed in about 1200 square feet. The question I have is do I need to seal the grout? If so, what do I use? Do I just seal the grout with a little paint brush or do I use a roller and seal it all? Any advice would be appreciated!

Unless you specifically requested and got it in writing that the tile installer seal the grout, it's almost certain that he did not. So you should seal the grout. Use any product available, but the more expensive products are better. Aquamix is often recommended. John Bridge has just started recommending a new product called Stone Armor. (I respect John highly, but you should keep in mind that he sells this product.) Tile Labs is a widely sold brand too. See this thread for more discussion of this product.

Use any gimmick that you want to put it on. I prefer the simple approach -- an artists paint brush and a paper cup. But the time you get the first coat done, it'll be time to go back and do the second coat. You can probably do it all in an afternoon. Buy good knee pads.
