Moroccan tile installation

hi,
I am about to buy some handmade Moroccan tiles for my bathroom. Each piece is separate and 2x2. The sales man recommends putting them together in square foot sections, upside down so that they are flush on the top. What type of glue to you think would work best?
Has anyone done this before? If so any recommendations would be great.
Thanks!

It's an old system. Use brown or white butcher paper. Arrange the tiles face down and glue the paper to their backs with something that is water soluble. Flower paste or regular Elmer's glue. After the tiles have set, you wet the paper through and wash off the glue. The drawback is that you can't see the tiles as you are setting them.

A better system is to mount the tiles face up on a mosiac netting which is ultimately imbedded in the installation. You can then see what you are doing. Go to a mosaic site or two to find the netting.
