Tiling noob

I'm looking for recomendations on how to tile around corners. Right now, I'm in the middle of a bathroom renovation and I'm selecting tile. I have a nice wall tile picked out that will be both my main walls AND the wall tile inside the shower.
It's hard to explain, but I'm talking about corners where the tile folds onto its back, not onto its fronts if you know what I mean...
To clarify, if I was to tile around this L, the tile would be facing outwards to the left and to the bottom.
Right now the decorative border tile gradually thins to zero thickness on the edge, thereby no tile edges are seen on the corners.
I went to two tile stores and HD, and I must say that the selection for this type of tile is very limited. I've seen some very nice chair rail type decorative tile - but it's not suitable for a corner.
What am I missing? lol
Thanks,
Kongar

Turning corners
Most tiles I know (with the possible exception of the HOBO close out, discontinued stock sale) will offer what is called a "bullnosed edge" tile. So, you buy all the tile you need for the project and then you count how many pieces of "bullnose" you will need to handle the outside corners where you need it to look pretty. This can be used on the top of the shower wall as well if you aren't tiling right to the ceiling.
Good luck!

Hmm,
Thanks for the quick response Colleen. I was not aware of "bullnosed" tile pieces. Like I said, I'm a tiling noobie
Is it common for tile manufacturers to offer every tile in a bullnosed fashion? In other words, how likely is it that I can buy some bullnosed tile pieces to match the order I've already placed?
I have to admit - I'm not impressed with the tile stores I've visited in my area. I should not have needed to come here to get this question answered /grumble.

bullnosed
I am not a tile contractor, although I was a general contractor for some time and all of my orders went through a tile supplier for my installation companies. I was always able to find bullnosed tile in the standard tile selections. Decorative tiles (usually mixed with a basic style tile) did not have them and some of the tile selections had a finishing edge instead of a bullnose (like a rope edge or something) but I would think nearly all tile manufacturers have made allowances for this problem.
It has been a long time since I bought tile from a Home Depot or other hardware super-store. I would think they would carry them... it is a common problem... but I really don't know for sure. Where did you buy your tile from?

Purchase location
I bought the tile from a tile store - not a Lowes or Home Depot kind of place. Like I said, I'm not impressed with the tile store's level of expertise.
I checked the tile manufactuer's webpage and they do offer my tile with a variety of different edges. I'll just go back and order the number of pieces I need to do the job.
Foolish me for thinking a store that exclusively sells tile would know these things...
Thanks for the help Colleen.

Experts
The older I get the more I realize I am the only person in the entire world that isn't a complete moron. LOL
I'm sure they know about it... they just don't seem to care, do they? Obviously they should have asked you how many pieces of bullnose you would need when you placed your order.
I feel your frustration, Man! At least we have places like this to go to get some information. Now if anyone would just post a reply to my message about how to make my own bathtub!
Good luck!
