grout color

I have 2 questions:
1) I have a tile floor in my kitchen that consists of large dark blue tiles and a very light gray grout. I absolutely hate the contrast between the tile and grout. Is it possible to paint the grout? I know it would be time-consuming, but since we don't currently have the money to replace the floor I'm willing to put the time in. Can I use regular latex paint?
2)Should I seal it? If I need to seal it what kind of sealer should I use?

You can stain you grout with a product called grout stain. Do a google search on grout stain and you will find many different companies carry it. After it is stained use a sealer that is compatible with you stain. Most companies sell both.

making setting bed for bathroom

Just completed shower came out very nice, now for the bath room floor outside of shower, Im a little cornfused, there is a 11/4inch plywood floor over 16inch spaced joists after removeing lanolium and osb board, used 1/2 inch wonder board on shower with tar paper behind, would like to use 1/2 wonder board on floor this is wet install, do i use thinset under wonder board? do i need more barrier? what is the best for this bath room which will see heavy use thanks for your help Gil :)Read More

I'm making a 36x48 kitchen table with granite tile top. Using 3/4-inch birch plywood under the tile. I'm trying to decide if I can lay the thinset & tile directly on the plywood, or if I need to first attach a 1/4-inch concrete board on top of the plywood, then apply the thinset & tile?
