Question help cleaning white floor tile

Does anyone have experience cleaning tile with steam? We have a terrible mess with white floor tile. Ground in construction dirt was sealed into the tile with grout sealer. Dal-tile non slip surface makes it worse. I don't want to use toxic cleaners. Advice??
Thanks, scooter

I'm sorry it's taken so long to see your thread.

Steam will work on the grout, but first you have to remove the sealer before it'll work. I'm curious why they'd seal the tile too, instead of only sealing the grout.

Regardless, your best bet is to find a stripper (the liquid one ) to remove the sealer. It'd help us if you knew which brand and product it was. Many sealers have different formulations and need different approaches.

If you're concerned about toxicity, rest assured that the cleaners on the market today are much more user-friendly. You might even think you're in a mountain meadow after you're done. Then again, you might just be standing on a clean floor that smells like nothing.

Find the sealer's name and we'll help you from there.

David
