Granite Tile Question
I've never worked with granite tiles before so I was wondering what people's experience is with them in terms:
a) how well they hold up to being cut with a good wet saw, i.e., are they more fragile than a typical ceramic tile?
b) can the cut edges be smoothed by anything (a file/steel pad/sandpaper/etc) as I want to use them on a table top?
Thanks!

Depending on graining, checks can fracture if your not careful.
You can take the edge off with a diamond blade, or an edge profile grinder, and an angle grinder with polishing pads.
