Question cracking grout

I just finished a walk in shower... I built shelves in the shower and tiled the top surface and the vertical face of the shower (I didn't bevel the edges of the tile so the grout is "triangular" and about 3/8 inch on the outside (widest) surface.

I am beginning to get a crack along this grout bead. It has that desert mud crack look.. like the grout shrunk as it dried. Though I think its from water soaking into the grout and then drying every day...

What did I do wrong?? Whats the fix??

Thanks guys

i would say that the grout line is too wide, and it did exactly as you thought ,it shrank when drying ,and or movement see if you can get that grout line any smalller,if not ,then mix a little more grout and work it in with you're hands

I figured I'd left too much room for shrinkage... thanks
