granite floor in 1/2 bathroom

I'm planing on using 12" granite tiles. 2 main questions.

Any caveats about using granite in a small bath?

And will I be able to cut the tiles using the B.E.P. portable 7" wetsaw #60085. (roughly 30 SFt of floor).

Any grouting suggestions

Thanks for the help.

Comming back from the 70's.

What is the size span and spacing of the joists. It takes a really stiff floor to properly support stone.

The span is roughly 30 feet in front of the house to the back. The floor that is to be tiled has one side over the main support beam and the other side with in 6 feet. The joists are 18 inches apart.

Thanks for your help.
