marble tile in kitchen

I have just installed tumbled marble tile on the backsplash all the way around my kitchen and I am ready to grout. I was sold a sanded grout, but I am unsure how to do it as the marble has lots of wonderful imperfections. I do not want the grout in the imperfections just in the seams. Also I purchased a sealer for the tile as well as the grout because of it's porus nature. Is this correct?

most marble tile scratch very easy. it is usually recommened that you use a unsanded grout. and a sealer is always a good ideal

you have a few options here,
1)tape the edges of the tile around the joints and grout just the joints
2)seal the tile then grout the joints but you will fill in a few of the holes along with it
3)smear the hole thing and dig out what you can from the holes in the marble

I always run some tape at the edge of the tile at the grout line and be careful not to fill in any thing but the joint and then pull the tape when finished and straighten out the edges with a damp sponge, let dry and wipe again with clear clean water let cure for about a week then seal
