Use Felt Paper?

I am installing Durock cement board over open stud framing on an interior wall. The wall in question is totally interior with no exposure to an outside wall. It also is not in a bathroom, kitchen or otherwise "wet" area. Do I need to install felt paper between the studs and the board? Also will the board chemically "react" with any metal ductwork in the wall causing it to rust?

With this being the case, cbu is actually not even necessary, & definitely the felt paper or other moisture barrier is really overkill. In fact this is actually one place you could go with, dare I say it, mastic.

I've done one shower over metal stud, we used a poly barrier instead of felt on that job. Happy tiling.
