Problem with grout

A year ago I had a kitchen remodel done. It has granite counter tops with ceramic tile backsplash. The grout where the tile meets the granite is falling out. I called the tile installer a month ago to ask him to come back and install the silicone caulk in that area since that is what he originally agreed to do and didn't. He said he would come back but need the info as to the color and number of the grout used. I don't know what he was planning to use. I gave him this info and 4 weeks later still nothing done. Please advise me as to what product is the best for this area. I am afraid the water will leak in this area and ruin my cabinets. Thank You, Diane

where ever 2 surfaces like that meet it will alweays crack when grouted ,you are on the right path with the silicone. You can probably do this yourself and go to a tile shop with a small piece of the tile or counter and get the right color to match or even a picture
