shower base and backer board

Thanks to all for your help in the past..I am installing a new shower stall-should the cement backer board go on the inside of the base over the lip..or on the wall and the base fastened against it? I will be putting up tile afterwards...thanks

You'll want the tile to go over the lip on the base, so the backerboard will have to also,or at least be equal to the lip so that the tile can overlap the base. SO if the backerboard sits ON the lip, you will be ok.
