installing tile over primer

I am in the process of putting ceramic tile in my basement. First I put a layer of thinset everywhere. I was thinking of priming the floor with a concrete/masonary primer and then putting the ceramic tiles down with the thinset mortar.

Will this work? Can I use a primer underneath the tiles.

Thanks.

Install Ceramic Tile on Concrete

Do not seal or paint concrete prior to installation. These make for an unsuitable surface for ceramic tile installation. Concrete should be very clean. Mop with water only and allow to thoroughly dry. If concrete is very smooth, it will need to be etched with an acid solution for this purpose. Use leveling compound to fill in dips to create flat surface.

Make sure to fill in and float off any dips, humps, or waves on the concrete with cement based floor leveler. Wait 24 hours or more for leveler to dry.
