tile before/after vanity?

Renovating our basement bathroom - not sure if I tile (floor) first, then install the new vanity - or install the vanity then tile. My initial thought was vanity first.. but I've been told both and now don't know.... Any help/advice would be appreciated!

If affordable, I would tile first, assuming you meant tiling completely under where the vanity is going to be. If you ever decide to change the vanity,it may not be the same size at the bottom as the old one. Then you either have to do more tiling if it's smaller or shim up the back of the new one if it is larger as the front will be on tile and the back not. If you are not going under the vanity then set it first then tile because you may not have a square wall and the line of tile preset may not match the front of the vanity and you would have to cut very small pieces to fill in any voids. Good luck.
