Granite Countertop Scratches?

I recently had a granite countertop put in and I've noticed what appears to be minor scratches, or so it seems. I haven't cut on it or anything. I do have a dog that may have jumped up but if granite is so strong and you're suppose to be able to cut on it I don't see how it could be him? Or if the counter can't support it, and it was a crack would it be deep and appear to be more of a crack? It's really faint but a bit noticeable. I'm really confused and disappointed.

Its Absolute Black and what I'm seeing are faint light greyish marks. Oh, they can't really be felt either? So it seems like its underneath? I don't know...

No stone is perfect, it could be minor flaws in the slab, but it certainly wasn't your dog scratching it. If it's a new counter, have the fabricator come out and look at it. It might even be something that was done at the time of manufacter or at least maybe something they can fix.
