neBathroom floor tile over old Bathroomfloor tiles? can it be done?

I'm a buyer of a house built in 1925 , the Bathroom floor tile is broken and the grout is all broken and half missing yet the tile is solid to the existing floor.
Can I install new tile over the old tile without removing the old?
thank you

You can only if there is no cracking or loose tiles or grout lines and it is in perfect shape. I'd bet even you mud pack setting bed is probably shot at this point. Remove the rest of the tiles and post back with the exact condition of the setting bed. Maybe it can be salvaged, but you won't be able to tile over your tile.
