kitchen backsplash
using 4x4 or 6x6 ceramic tiles. What size trowel should I use??? Thanks again. 
Also, should I run a bead of caulk where the tiles rest on the counter top???

a V notch 1/4" for the 6x6 will be fine.
Leave a 1/8" space along the countertop and fill that gap with caulk in the same color as the grout.
