removing backsplash and finishing edge

I have a tile shower with an attatched backsplash. The backplash is an eyesore. It pops out from the side of the shower like a blob and then recedes back to the edge of the shower which runs to the floor. So basically I want to remove the backsplash and just make the shower edge a vertical line from floor to ceiling like it should be. The majority of the edge is finished but the small part where the backplash comes out is all jagged and uneven from removing the tile and cutting back the cement board. I don't think I can find this tile pattern again and I was wondering if there is anything else I can do to finish the edge. Any ideas?

Maybe I inhaled too much pvc cement today, but I'm having trouble picturing it right now. Can you post a picture?
