Vinyl tiles

I just removed vinyl tiles from my bathroom. I expect these tiles stuck to the floor for at least 30 years and the floor is filthy. I tried a few cleaners but all it did was remove the awful smell from the floor.

Is there a cleaner you recommend that can remove this.

Also if I were to replace with new tiles, is there a brand you recommend or would you recommend I not use vinyl tiles?

Thanks

I am checking out a new cleaner from a company in Texas. Have not gotten my test kit yet but it does sound promising. Call Patricia Davis at 1-800-458-2236 and ask about their GoldSolv product. Most solvents on the market leave a residue that can inhibit the bond of ceramic tile so that is why I'm looking for something that is easier to work with. Like I said, I dont know if this is viable until i use it but I am going to give it a try.
