Chipped Tile Repair/Filler

Hopefully someone can hlp me. In the kitchen we have ceramic tile. The other day I set a heavy apple juice bottle on the counter and it chipped one of the tan tiles on the edge of the counter, where it overlaps the counter's edge (6"x31/2" tile) . The chip is pretty small (3/8"x1/4") and I would like to fill it in with something, so it is not as noticeable. Anyone have any easy solutions?

Thanks.

A couple of easy solutions are....nail polish, or model airplane, cars etc etc paint. They come in thousands of colors and they are quite strong when dry. You should be able to match is almost perfectly. It won;t last forever of course, but does a nice touch up, that only costs a few dollars.

Chipped Tile

Thanks for the nail polish advice; however, I think I need something a bit thicker to fill in the gap first. Anyone have any suggestions?

Maybe some epoxy mix, then sand it smooth and touch up, either way, the best method is to replace the offending tile.

I was going to suggest body fill, but how do you sand it without damaging the glaze surrounding the chip??
