Pedestal Sink ????

I'm planning to remodel one of my bathrooms. Floor will be ceramic tiles. Do the tiles go under the foot of the sink or just around it ? iI looks like it has to be bolted on the floor and the wall. What woulld be the correct way to do it ?

The sink base sits on the tile. Some pedestal sinks come with a bracket that has to be connected to the wall. Usually they have a variety of hole spacing so that you can hit a stud in the wall. If you cannot hit a stud, use the wing type fasteners. The base is usually anchored down with Tapcon screws if you have a concrete subfloor or if not, just drill through the tile and use a lag type bolt. Good luck.
