Question Renovating Seldom Used Bathtub/Shower

Hello: I've removed cultured marble panels from bathtub/shower area and will replace with tile. The bathtub/shower is maybe used 1-3 times per year. Given the minimum use, is a waterproof sheetrock still recommended or will blue-board be alright? Also, if I need waterproof sheetrock, are there other 'must have' materials or actions that I need to do?
Thank you in advance.

You will need 1/2" cement board with some 4 mil plastic dropcloth behind it to protect the studs from water rot in the shower/tub area. Does not matter how many times it will be used. All other non wet areas can get sheetrock.
