Tiling outer corners without rounded corner stock

OK...I got "cheap" and/or "lazy" and did not order the rounded corner tile pieces needed for my whirlpool raised deck which has a 4 foot exposed run of outer corners.
What is the best way to tile this run so it won't be "sharp" ?

1) Should I just "butt" both the top and the side pieces in a manner such that a square groove exists which is then filled-in with grout (which of course could be sanded smooth later). ?

2) should the top tile piece OVERLAP the side piece, which then exposes the side of the tile on top ?

3) I got this crazy idea of using a length of 1/4 rounded brass stock and have that as the "edge" with thinset holding it in place and grout tapering to fill the gap from the tile.

Any ideas greatly appreciated. (Note: took 6 weeks to get this tile, no chance of ordering the rounded stock and waiting ANOTHER 6 weeks !)

Stone, ceramic, porcelain, does this tile come with a bullnose by any chance?

Or http://www.schluter.com/english/prod...201-index.html

Or, you can miter them, just make the miter slightly behind the edge, not all the way, so it's sharp.

fantastic idea....

I will give it a shot on the tile saw.....

and of course, a bullnose was available....
but I wasn't thinking thru all of the details of the layout...natch.
Why Not ? :
I got so flustered from changing the color and the special decorative design portion of the job because tile manufacturers could NOT DELIVER WITHIN 10 WEEKS FOR THE TILE I REALLY WANTED.
