Pre-seal tumbled stone before mortar...?
#1

Hello:
I'm about to work with my tumbled stone tile, but I thought I read that I am suppose to pre-seal the tile before attaching to wall, and then when done, seal only the grout. Is that correct?
Thanks in advance.

Lay them all out on a sheet of plywood, give them one to two coats of sealer, follow sealer directions, Aquamix Gold 15 or Stonetech sealers are 2 that I use and work great, Aquamix can be bought at HD.
Next day, install your tile, using modified thinset, no mastic, wait a week and reseal evrything, tile and grout, tile won't take that much sealer, concentrate on the grout at this time.
