I have white floor tile in my kitchen, it's not old, but because of the color it's very hard to keep clean. I would like to try to paint it. Any suggestions on how that can be accomplished? HELP!!!

Painting a tile floor will make your problems worse.

I'm afraid I must totally agree with OldGuy on this one. Most who have tried painting over tile then spend time and money trying to remove it later.

Tile over hardwood.

I am putting ceramic tile in my bathroom. It was originally hardwood floor (1940) and has since seen many treatments, so is covered with a black tarry looking adhesive. My problem is that when I install cement board, mortar and tiles, the floor will be a full inch higher than the rest of the house. Do I pull out the hardwood? Suggestions.? Thank you.Read More
