Question

I have 3 young children and am considering replacing flooring in dining room, kitchen. foyer and hallway. The foyer, hallway, and dining room have most wear due to entry/exits within each. I also have 2 large dogs. What types of flooring would hold up to lots of abuse. I was considering ceramic for foyer and hallway, and wood for dining room and kitchen. Please help!! I do not want to put flooring in and then turn around in a year or so to replace it. My children's ages are 6,3, and 18months. Any suggestions would be welcomed!!!!

There's pro's & con's to all type's of flooring, but ceramic is the most durable but can chip or crack if something heavy is dropped on it. Its also harder on your legs, because its like standing on cement. If you go with tile make sure you buy extra because you can replace chiped tiles later on.
