Sanded grout and unsanded grout??

Sanded grout and unsanded grout??
Can someone explain the difference between sanded and unsanded grout and sanded and unsanded caulking??? Thanks

One has sand in it, one doesn't.

Sanded is use for joints 1/8" and wider, it won't shrink as much as unsanded and has more compression strength.
Unsanded is used for joints 1/8" and smaller.
Both can be used if the joint is 1/8", just depends on the look your after.
Same with caulks, one just has sand added, unless you are using the caulk for an expansion joint on a floor in the middle of the field tile, stick with unsanded caulk, easier to work with.
